  • If someone is off for mental health reasons (staff or students), have them meet with someone (such as occupational health) in order to help them return to their studies
  • Have welness areas around campus where people can sit just to focus on their mental wellbeing-this might be useful for students who may feel anxious going to the library or staying at home
  • Improve access to mental health services as the wait times to speak to student support can be quite long
  • Encourage sports and societies to be mindful of other students and offer additional suggestions to socials, such as "welness wednesdays" for those that may want a different enviroment to socialise in (or something similar just to make students feel like part of the group)
  • Make sure each academic department is aware of how they can support students who might be sturggling with their mental health. For example, if someone has been struggling to go to lectures due to their mental health, make it possible that students .can still access all materials to help them progress.
  • Make it clear to students what they can do if they need to access support as not all students are aware of support services, (such as disability support)
  • Finally, have a drop in session where students can talk to someone about things they might need to get off their chest and don't know who to talk to
