Disability awareness training for all Staff connected with the university

Until you are directly affected by a disability it can be hard to understand the effect that it can have. I feel that all staff members should have to have the training to help them understand this issue more. This training should include a walk around with people who have various disabilities to visibly show them the difficulties faced on campus. It should also be looked into ways that the staff members can experience different disabilities through sports or through providing tools for them to experience day-to-day use. I feel that this should be ongoing and developing as it goes, making sure to include a full range of disabilities.
Through this training, I feel that all staff will be better equipped to help and support the ever-growing amount of students with disabilities attending university today.
