Postgraduate Research Network

Calling all students on PGR courses!

Doing a Doctoral degree can be very isolating at times. The aim of the PGR Society is to be a space where PGR students can meet and support one another throughout the course of their degree. It will facilitate the development of social and professional connections at a university-wide level. It will build a network of collaboration, understanding and support.

We aim to meet at least once a week with events varying from social lunches to study days to pub quizzes to coffee mornings to society socials.

Our current PGR community is small but enthusiastic and we are keen for it to flourish with the addition of fellow like-minded people, with not a lot of commitment being needed to join.

Our society is a fantastic place for you to meet new people outside of your department or faculty and to socialise and converse with people who may be at a different stage in their PGR journey to you.

We aim to facilitate a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, a place to discuss things both integral to the PGR degree and outside interests.

We welcome any postgraduate research student to our society!
