Hi there!

I’m Alfie and I am running to be your CSU President this upcoming year.

Throughout this year, I have been the President of the CRAGS society, which has seen great success, and I have absolutely loved being involved with it. I would love to bring my skills and passion towards making changes that we as students would all benefit from. As I’m in my third year, I am familiar with the current issues facing students and hope to bring that perspective into the role.

My main goal is to ensure that student voices will be heard louder than ever. I will be aiming to generate awareness and engagement with the student union so that each student can feel represented across all campuses. I would work closely with the Student Council and Student Voice Representatives, as well as opening more avenues for Students to have their say.

No voice will be left unheard!

What issues do students currently face?

From my experience, Mental Health Awareness and Cost of Living would be two of the most important. I promise to run campaigns over the next year to promote awareness for both issues and help students tackle them. I would want to improve the Student Services system as well, ensuring it works for all. I also want to run campaigns to support our local homeless and LGBTQA+ who have a large presence in our community. These are both causes I have a lot of enthusiasm for!
