We understand that sometimes there may be circumstances where you wish to write a complaint about something that has occurred either at the Students’ Union or as part of a service or activity we've facilitated.

We want all of our students to feel comfortable doing this and we aim to resolve any complaints informally where possible. Where this is not possible, we have procedures we follow to support students to make formal complaints. Please see the Student Complaints Policy for further guidance.

We really hope your University process is straight-forward, enjoyable and that you graduate with a degree in your subject area. Sometimes, however, you may encounter an issue with your course or experience at University. If for any reason you are unhappy and would like to highlight your concerns to the University, you have the right to use the University's complaints procedure.

Our Advice team can support you through this process, attend meetings with you and help you to complete the complaints form.

 

How do I make a complaint?

There are two main stages to the complaints process: an informal stage, followed by a formal stage if necessary. A complaint should normally be raised within 2 months of the incident occurring.
