Make period packs on campus a thing!

Since starting my course in September I have noticed that the university has provided packs regarding issues of wellbeing, safer sex, etc- however, I'd like to expand this further and introduce the idea of "period packs" for our students to help with the issue of period poverty.

In the UK 1 in 10 girls cannot afford menstrual products, whilst 1 in 7 girls have struggled to afford them (according to bodyform with a survey of 1,000 girls and young women aged between 14-21), and I'd like to bring this idea to light in form of a period pack. Ideally, I'd like the period pack to consist of period products and to educate on the struggles of period poverty to raise awareness and to make this issue more well known. Scotland has become the first country to provide period products for free, and it would be amazing to follow suit to allow for the chance for our students to have greater access to period products. I'd also like to push the idea forward and ensure that there are sanitary products always available in our public restrooms on campus also- despite this being already done, I have yet to actually find sanitary products that are available to students on behalf of the Warrington Campus.

Raising awareness is important! But so is ensuring the comfortability of our students on campus.
