Students more than ever are struggling with their mental health. Felling isolated and alone has become the daily feeling for so many people. We all know engagement is important, but in these current times, some days are harder than others, and the way some lecteueres have addressed the lack of egengament or attendance from some students to less than helpful for those who may be struggling. I want to propose a new system or process for the way students are approached when they may be showing signs of withdrawing and feeling down. The last thing you want to receive when you're not feeling good is an annoyed/threatning/patronising email about why you missed a seminar.

Lecturers need to understand and have more sensivitiy when it comes to students who may be having a hard time.
