SUMMARY OF 2017/18


Over 150 people signed up for taster sessions at freshers fair.

December 2017 – Head of the Float – the first race for the year, novice men and women entered, senior men and women entered. Senior Women won their category and were fastest womens crew of the day.

Senior men and Senior women crews raced at Womens Eights Head of the River and Head of the River Races in London this year.

We competed at BUCS Regatta and had a number of crews entered for a variety of races over the weekend.




We raised a large amount of money in a joint effort with the MMA society for Chapter while also raising money for the British Royal Legion. We took part in a number of ‘Rowathons’ including members of the club rowing (on a rowing machine) for up to an hour to raise money.

We also had over a dozen people take part in the Student Union community clean up.

PLANS FOR 2018/19


  • We aim to continue raising money for charity over the course of the next year, this year our chosen charity is the British Lung Foundation https://www.blf.org.uk.

  • We hope to raise our game and keep entering and winning races.

  • We aim to have more members sign up and take part in the sport both competitively and recreationally.
