SUMMARY OF 2017/18

CUPS began the year by taking part in the HOPEWalk for the charity PAPYRUS, raising over £240.Then in November, we held our annual Students vs. Lecturers night, with the students being victorious yet again. We finished the term with our Christmas meal and karaoke night, which has become a CUPS tradition.

In the New Year, we took part in the #itsnotok and #sockittomentalhealth campaigns, and in March we held our annual acoustic night. We finished the year by holding our annual ball.

CHARITY & COMMUNITY

This year CUPS kept PAPYRUS as their chosen charity. We raised over £240 by taking part in the HOPEWalk, £157 from our Students vs Lecturers night and £70 from our acoustic night.

TRIUMPHS

  • Students won Students vs. Lecturers for the third year in a row

  • We sold all of the tickets for our annual ball before the deadline

PLANS FOR 2018/19

Next year we plan to have one event each month and hopefully this will mean we smash our goal of raising £500 for PAPYRUS.

We are also looking into arranging group trips for Psych in the Pub, although this will depend on interest.
