SUMMARY OF 2017/18

 

  • Successful intake with around 20 new members

  • (1st team)Good start to the season with one lost in the first 6 games

  • (2nd team) good level of improvement across the squad

  • (social)Reached Revs term sponsorship targets within a few week of term starting

  • Both sides progressed in the cup to the second round

  • (1st Team)Started the second half of the season well with a friendly game against chester city hockey club and winning the last 4 matches to seal promotions to div 2a

  • (2nd team)Beat Wrexham 2-1 to display the improvement of players in the side

  • Few successful charity events as listed later

  • Won chester best dance crew

  • Won our Varsity game

TRIUMPHS

  • 1st Team winning BUCs 3a

  • 2nd Team winning first game in two years

  • 2nd Team winning EL Clasico

  • Saturday League stayed in the div 7SW despite losing players from the previous year

 

PLANS FOR 2018/19

 

  • 1st Team’s main aim is to stay in BUCs Div 2a after being promoted

  • 2nd Team’s goals are to improve players further and to bring new players of the sport threw and give them a platform to possibly play higher standard later in university career

  • 2nd Team’s league aim is to improve their league position and become more competitive with the other sides in the league

  • Plan for the club is to gain around 20 new members of any ability and to trying and bridge the gap in ability between the first and second team

  • From a Charity perspective, we want to raise between £500 and £1000 and mainly looking to give the money to Alzheimer charities
