Manifesto aim: Pre-season...

AIM:

  • Create a structured pre-season training camp in the week leading up to and during the start of university to allowing training slots to be used for training and not fitness

 

UPDATE:

  • I’m well underway organising the first ever structured Pre-season which is availabvle for every team from every sport. I have been working closely with Sport and Active lifestyle and the new Sports Performance Team to ensure the Pre-season is professional, runs smoothly and is sport specific. I have been asking each sport to provide me with numbers so arrangement of staff and facilities can take place.

 

RESULT:

  • This was a huge success, over 150 sports students took part it fitness, training and strength and conditioning sessions. I worked closely with Sport and Active lifestyle and the new Sports Performance Team to ensure the Pre-season was professional, ran smoothly and was sport specific. Feedback Surveys are now coming back on how I can improve the next pre-season which is planned for the Start of January. Hopefully I will learn from what went well and what didn’t to ensure that the next Pre-season is even better. Also looking at creating a boot camp in January for returning students who are not part of a sport.
