Our advice team is here to make sure you are taking the best course of action in your hour of need. It is a completely free, independent and confidential service, and means you can gain advice on matters relating to housing, money worries, academic procedures and issues, or just to have a chat to let us know how things are going.
Students often seek advice about academic issues such as appeals, complaints and disciplinary hearings, but other common enquiries relate to accommodation; from problems with housemates to getting your deposit back. We are experienced in dealing with formal university procedures, housing and financial problems and will always endeavour to get the best outcome for you.
Students can receive financial advice regarding student finance, benefits and general hardship, plus we also offer advice on general wellbeing, including issues such as sexual health, bullying and discrimination.
We are independent of the university and always here to listen, so please don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or pop in to see Chris Lightfoot in the Shrewsbury SU office on a Friday between 10am and 2pm.
