Free, confidential and impartial, our advice service is here for you in your hour of need. We offer guidance on anything from accommodation, health, money worries or just a chat about settling in. We are independent of the university and always here to listen, so please don’t hesitate to contact us at csuadvice@chester.ac.uk.
You can also drop in during our “Off your Chest Tuesday” and “Speak Easy Thursday” sessions which run from 10am - 12pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the SU Office at Guildhall - giving you the opportunity to chat about anything relating to your studies and life at UCS.
Students often seek advice about academic issues such as appeals, complaints and disciplinary hearings. Other common enquiries relate to accommodation; from problems with housemates to getting your deposit back. Students can also receive financial advice regarding student finance, benefits and general hardship. We offer advice on general wellbeing, including issues such as sexual health, bullying and discrimination. We are experienced in dealing with formal university procedures, housing and financial problems and will always endeavour to get the best outcome for you.
