Policies and FAQs

There are several policies which govern the Advice service within the Students' Union. We have included these for you to read here, including our confidentiality policy, and the Union's data protection policy. We have also put together some of our more frequently asked questions to give you an insight to the work we do in the Advice Centre. Q: How long will it take for an advisor to get back to me?

A: On average, we aim to respond to all queries within 2 working days. In busy periods, this may be longer.


Q: How can I get in touch with an advisor?

A: You can contact our advice team by completing our Contact an Advisor form, by Email, or by attending a drop-in session held across the University.


Q: Can an Advisor speak to the University/my landlord/someone else for me?

A: We can speak to the University, or a third party on your behalf, however we have to have your written permission to do so. We do have a consent to share information form which we would complete with you ahead of any discussion with someone outside of the advice team.
