Aloha! And welcome to the homepage of UOC Snow.

We're an inclusive sport; male or female, big or small, loud or quiet we don't care! You're welcome here amongst one of the most socially active and cheapest societies in the University. We’ve always been an aspirational bunch and this year alongside our regular competitions, BUDS and ABC, we’re entering Kings which is a League operated by our partners at NUCO. We’re always looking for competitors and if you fancy giving it a go make sure to talk to our Race Captain, Hannah Griffiths about it.

If you don’t fancy competing then not to worry, it’s a great spectator sport, with freestyle always an impressive spectacle. We hold training sessions in Stoke every week leading up to the highlight of the year, the Ski Trip. Last year we headed to Tignes for an incredible week just before Christmas, the conditions couldn’t have been better and whether they were on the slopes or in the bars everyone had an unforgettable week. Like our Facebook page and stay tuned for our Trip Reveal coming in October.

Charity work is something we started to ramp up again last year after a weak 2016/17. We raised £300 for Ski4Cancer and our new Charity Officer has vowed to at least double that this year. We also took part in the community clean up put on by the SU, this involved tidying the streets of the Garden Quarter in which many of the University’s students call home.

We had a very successful 2017/18 year, we smashed membership targets, we formed new partnerships, had great socials and we even found time to ski.

If you have any questions, just pop one of our committee members an email or even message the Facebook page, one of us will get right back to you!
Hope to see you soon, and let's get piste!

If you’re looking to build on previous experience or learn something completely new, come and join our little family.
