Welcome to the homepage for the University of Chester's Geography, International Development and Natural Hazard Management Society – or just GINh for short!
This year we are making big changes in order to try and involve more people in our society, we have changed our name from the International Development Society, to GINh to try and appeal to more people from related subjects, however you are very welcome even if you do not study these subjects.
We are planning to get involved in a number of activities over the course of this year such as a Christmas shoebox appeal, a sleepout to raise money for the homeless community here in Chester, activities such as sponsored walks and bake sales in order to raise money for various charities, getting involved in organised campaigns and raising awareness of key issues faced by people all over the globe today.
We aim to meet once a week, whether it's to organise upcoming events we are holding, deciding on charities to fundraise for or just having a Christmas film night, and we would love to see you there.
If you are interested and passionate, we hope you will join us for a very exciting year to come.
