  • At our Christmas showcase, we held a raffle, and sold refreshments during the interval. All the proceeds were for our chosen charity.

  • Members of the CU collected change throughout the year which we gathered together in February this year
  • We also did an auction and raffle draw event. At this event Santander offered to match whatever money we made which helped reach our target figure.

  • We did the Chester Santa Dash in December 2015 and raised £45 for charity.

How?

  • Badminton Macmillan week, had 2 events, a charity tournament and a winter fair with lots of mini games, raffle and badminton.

How?

  • Harassed people into sponsoring our poor attempts at growing manly moustaches! We are still waiting for some more money to come in.

 

Cheerleading

Charity: Chester aid for the homeless and Operation Christmas Child

How?

  • We raised at least £87 by putting together Children’s Christmas boxes for the Operation Christmas child fund. Where 30 boxes were collected with donations.
  • Secondly we raised £460.20 for CATH by sleeping out in the streets on a Friday evening with other helpers. It was cold and rained all night but raised a great amount!

How?

  • We had a charity mixed match between men’s and women’s lacrosse and we also had cake stall too.

How?

  • We completed Hell Runner at the beginning of the year and raised a total of £1230.50 for Macmillan Cancer.
  • We then had a Halloween themed event, with percentage of tickets going to Save the Children, we raised a total of £342.00.
  • Then UoC Netball took over an SU Friday to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness, and raised a total of £258.83.
  • Take Me Out raised a total of £210.73

Waterpolo

How?

  • Text Santa (£15) – We wore Christmas jumpers and Santa hats in support of the Text Santa cause!
  • Movember (£30) – Hosted a Movember charity Waterpolo match dressed in male clothing and wearing moustaches.
  • Chester Aid for the Homeless (£65) – We hosted a themed fundraising night at Missoula where we raised money through games!
  • Hope House Children’s Hospital (£482.33) – We got sponsored for climbing Snowdon as a team.
  • Teams4U (£363) – Hosted a pancake workshop in the CH1 Bar. Sold pancakes for £1 and then got the students to decorate them and hosted a Rock and Roll Bingo event in the CH1 Bar.
  • Stroke Association (£177) –  Sponsored for completing a 10K Resolution Run for Stroke Association in the Delamere Forest
  • Macmillan Cancer Support (£250) – Hosted a Swimathon with Making Waves to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support through sponsorship and online donations.
