BUCS (British Universities College Sport)
BUCS is the Governing Body for Higher Education Sport in the UK. The University of Chester is an affiliated member of BUCS. This means that students from both campuses can participate in the Wednesday afternoon fixtures programme and other competitions organised through the year. Students must play for their campus specific team if both campuses have entered teams in BUCS, i.e. M Football – a Warrington registered student can’t play for a Chester team because Warrington has entered a team in it’s own right.
Chester is currently ranked 72/145 institutions with 43 teams in BUCS.
Warrington is currently ranked 124/145 institutions with 10 teams in BUCS.
Chester is part of the North West Division comprising of 19 Institutions who all play each other in various leagues on a Wednesday afternoon. BUCS’s vision is a simple one
