International Development

Promise less, deliver more!

13695156_10154300937054431_1413270154_n (2)Welcome to the homepage for the University of Chester’s International Development Society.

IDS is run by the students, for the students. Our aim is to promote international development on campus and to educate students and staff about important issues which the global community faces.

We are all humans and therefore everyone has a right to raise their voice and to be heard. IDS will show that their voices are heard by organizing events which will raise awareness of their situation. IDS will contribute to making the world a better place through an international spirit.

IDS will hold events which will host guest speakers from the United Nations and other NGO’s to share their experiences in regards to international development.

Last year we did an amazing job by getting involved as much as we could with the international community. IDS worked closely together with Operation Christmas Child UK to participate in the shoe Box event which then all of them were sent to the Syrian refugee children who fled their home.
IDS and staff of the University of Chester had a visit to the United Nations in Geneva for an information programme.

We believe in promise less, deliver more. Our goals for this year will once again involve anything that helps reduce poverty, raise awareness of such issues, cancer, refugee’s and so on.

Join IDS to make the world a better place!
